Managed IT, point of sale networks, cameras and cabling for Canton Street restaurants and retail and the offices along Mansell Road and Alpharetta Highway.
Roswell is one of the largest and longest-established cities in north metro Atlanta, with roughly 92,000 residents, sitting on the Chattahoochee about 22 miles north of downtown.
Historic Canton Street is the part everyone knows. It has been named a Georgia Great Street, and the sidewalk cafes, restaurants, galleries and boutiques along it operate out of structures built well over a century ago in a protected district. That is a technology problem with an architecture problem wrapped around it. You cannot route cable wherever it would be convenient, exterior work is constrained, patio and outdoor seating needs coverage that the building was never designed to provide, and a busy event evening puts more load on the network than the rest of the week combined.
The Roswell Mill area nearby carries a similar mix of adapted historic space. Away from the district the city looks different: Mansell Road, Alpharetta Highway and Holcomb Bridge Road carry conventional office suites, medical practices, retail and service businesses, with Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center anchoring the healthcare cluster.
So Roswell splits cleanly into two jobs for us. One is hospitality and retail in buildings with constraints. The other is ordinary business IT in ordinary buildings.

Point of sale, card terminals, back office and the network beneath all of it, built for a full room on a Friday rather than a quiet Tuesday. Canton Street lives on evenings and events.
Outdoor seating is where Canton Street makes its money and where wireless coverage usually falls apart. Covering a patio through a masonry wall takes deliberate design and outdoor-rated equipment rather than an access point pointed hopefully at a window.
Older structures in a historic district need careful, minimally invasive routing and often landlord and district approval. We plan the path before anybody drills. See structured cabling.
Register coverage, bar, back of house, entrances and patio. Footage you can search rather than a system nobody has opened since the day it went in. Avigilon and Axis authorized.
Customer wireless kept away from payment and business systems. A single flat network is the most common problem we find in hospitality, and it is a security and a performance issue at once.
What a carrier can deliver to a century-old building on a historic street is often not what the coverage map suggests. We check the address. See internet and phone.
In a protected historic district the cable path is a design decision, not a field decision. We walk it first, agree it with the owner and the landlord, and use existing pathways where they exist. Work done without that conversation is how tenants end up paying for repairs to a facade.
Canton Street traffic is concentrated into evenings, weekends and event dates. A network sized for average load will be fine most of the time and fail exactly when the room is full and every card in it is being run. We size for the peak.
