Security Sized for a
BusinessYour Size.

The controls that prevent most of what actually happens to businesses like yours, implemented properly and kept current. Not a product sold once and forgotten.

Almost every incident we get called into could have been prevented by a short list of unglamorous controls. Not by a product with a clever name. By multi-factor authentication that was actually turned on everywhere, a backup somebody had tested, patches that were current, and an email filter doing its job.

Attacks on businesses your size are automated and indiscriminate. Nobody chose you. That is why being small offers no protection, and also why the effective fixes are affordable.

Cybersecurity services for small and mid-sized Atlanta businesses

Cybersecurity

Multi-Factor Authentication, Everywhere

Email, remote access, admin accounts, financial systems. The single highest-value control there is, and the one most often half-finished. Half-finished means the one account without it is the way in.

Backups You Have Actually Restored From

Verified, tested restores with retention that matches your obligations. This is what turns a ransomware incident from a business-ending event into a bad week.

Endpoint and Email Protection

Modern endpoint protection on every machine and filtering that stops the message before somebody has to make a judgement call about it. Most compromises still start in an inbox.

Patching and Configuration

Unpatched systems and default configurations are how automated attacks get in. Kept current as part of managed IT rather than done once during a project.

Offboarding That Actually Runs

When somebody leaves, their accounts should close that day: email, cloud storage, remote access, the door code. This is the most common real gap we find, and it is entirely a process problem.

Knowing What You Hold and Where

Most businesses have more sensitive data in more places than they realise, usually in old email, former employee accounts and local copies. We find it before somebody else does.

What We Will and Will Not Claim.

Security marketing is full of promises nobody can keep. Here is our position.
Point 1

Nobody
Can Promise You Will Not Be Breached

Any provider who tells you otherwise is selling something. What we can do is close the gaps that automated attacks rely on, make the damage recoverable when something does get through, and make sure you find out quickly rather than in six months.

Point 2

Compliance
Has a Legal Half We Do Not Cover

We handle the technical side: access control, encryption, logging, authentication, backup and device security, and we document what has been done. Policy and legal interpretation is not our lane, and we will say so rather than guess. For regulated practices we work alongside whoever advises you on that.

Point 3

Security
Questionnaires Are Won in Advance

If you sell to larger companies you will be sent a vendor security questionnaire. The answers are straightforward when the controls already exist and are documented, and painful when you are assembling them with a deal waiting.

Cybersecurity Questions

What businesses ask us before they commit.
Where should we start if we have done nothing?
Multi-factor authentication on email and remote access, then a backup you have tested a restore from, then patching. Those three close the majority of realistic exposure for a small business and none of them are expensive. Everything else can follow.
Is cyber insurance worth it, and will you help with the application?
That is a decision for you and your broker rather than us, and we are not licensed to advise on insurance. What we can tell you is that insurers now ask detailed technical questions about authentication, backups and endpoint protection, and we can answer those accurately about your environment.
We use Microsoft 365. Is that secure by default?
Not by default, no. It can be configured well, and out of the box it usually is not. Legacy authentication left enabled, no multi-factor on some accounts, no retention on deleted items and sharing settings wider than anyone intended are all common. Configuration is the whole game here.
What happens if we do get hit?
You call us and we start containing it. In practice the outcome is decided by work that happened months earlier: whether backups are current and tested, whether accounts had multi-factor, and whether anyone can tell what was accessed. That is why the boring controls matter more than the incident plan.
