Two Downtowns That Were Rebuilt Rather Than Replaced.

Cherokee’s commercial character is defined by adaptive reuse. Downtown Woodstock is one of the few suburban revitalizations in Georgia that other cities come to study, and it produced a dense walkable district of independent restaurants, breweries and small offices where there was once very little.

Canton, the county seat, did something similar with its historic mill fabric. Academy and Main put office, restaurant and retail into old buildings rather than new construction, and the courthouse ecosystem of law, title and accounting firms sits around it.

Old and converted buildings are wonderful to work in and hostile to wireless. Thick masonry, improvised pathways and drawings that do not match reality mean the work here is surveyed rather than quoted from paper.

Six Services, One Company, One Survey

In restored buildings the walk-through is worth more than the price list.

Managed IT Support

Independent restaurants, breweries and small offices in converted buildings, plus the courthouse ring of law and title firms in Canton. Managed IT.

Cybersecurity

Title and closing firms in Canton are a standing target for wire fraud. Authentication and email protection are the whole game. Cybersecurity.

Structured Cabling

Thick masonry, improvised pathways and drawings that do not match the building. We survey rather than quote from paper. Structured cabling.

Cameras and Access Control

Patios, back-of-house and cash handling in downtown Woodstock, and older Canton buildings with awkward sightlines. Authorized Avigilon and Axis dealer. Cameras and access control.

Business Internet and Phone

Converted buildings often inherit whatever the last tenant had. Worth checking what is actually available now. Internet and phone.

Office Relocation

Moving into restored space means working around a building that was not designed for you. Office relocation.

Cherokee County Questions

Coverage, old buildings and why we insist on looking first.
Do you cover all of Cherokee County?
We have written pages for Woodstock and Canton, which is where Cherokee’s commercial activity concentrates. Our office is in Suwanee, so the drive is real, and project work is where we are strongest here: cabling, cameras, moves and build-outs are planned and travel well. If an unplanned same-hour call-out is the thing you cannot do without, a Cherokee-based provider has a genuine advantage and we will tell you so.
You are based in Gwinnett. Why use you here?
Because the buildings here punish guesswork, and a company that only does one trade will not catch it. Adaptive reuse means masonry that kills wireless, pathways somebody improvised two tenants ago and as-built drawings that are politely described as optimistic. We survey the building, then do the cabling, wireless, cameras, access control, internet and phones ourselves, so nothing falls into a gap between two vendors.
What size businesses do you work with?
Most of our clients run between five and two hundred people, which in Cherokee covers an independent restaurant group, a Canton law or title practice and a small office in a converted mill building. Below five we can help with something lighter. Above two hundred still works, it just takes more planning.
Can you support a business with locations in more than one county?
Yes, and in Cherokee that is frequently a restaurant or retail group with two or three locations in different buildings, all with different quirks. They get connected and managed as one environment, with consistent equipment and phones that behave the same way at each one, which is the only way that stays manageable.
