Managed IT, cabling and building coordination for Perimeter office tenants and the independent firms around Dunwoody Village.
Dunwoody incorporated in 2008, and the reason was largely Perimeter. The city holds the DeKalb side of the Perimeter office market, where GA 400 meets I-285, and that is where most of its commercial square footage sits.
For a small business here that means one thing above all: you are a tenant in somebody else’s building. Cabling has to follow a building standard. Getting a carrier from the building entrance to your suite runs through a riser that a management company controls and charges for. Disruptive work gets scheduled with building engineering rather than with you. None of that is technical difficulty, and all of it is timeline.
Perimeter Mall anchors the retail side, and the restaurants and service businesses around it run on the office population rather than on residents.
Dunwoody Village is the counterweight and the part people forget. It is a low-rise village-style district of independent businesses: dental and medical practices, salons, accountants, insurance offices and small restaurants, in buildings a fraction of the size of the towers a mile away. Same city, completely different technology job.

Multi-tenant towers have rules about cable type, pathways, firestopping and who is allowed to do the work. We work to the standard and coordinate with engineering rather than discovering the rules halfway through. See structured cabling.
Riser access in a managed building often means the building’s preferred vendors, a license agreement and a fee. We handle that, and it is usually the slowest part of the project. See internet and phone.
Flat-rate support for professional firms of five to a hundred people, with a named contact who knows your environment. Pricing is published.
Dental, medical and professional offices in low-rise space, where the constraints are ordinary and the patient data obligations are not. See cybersecurity.
Your own door, your own credentials and your own log, working alongside the building access system rather than fighting it. See cameras and access control.
Moving up a floor is a full project on the building’s schedule. See office relocation.
Getting a circuit from the building entrance to your suite goes through a riser controlled by the building or a riser management company, often with its own approved vendor list, paperwork and fees. We start that early because it routinely takes longer than the carrier’s own installation.
A twelve-person practice in Dunwoody Village and a forty-person firm on the eighth floor of a Perimeter tower are both Dunwoody businesses with almost nothing in common operationally. We price and plan them differently because they are different jobs.
