What Business Looks Like in Midtown Atlanta.

We would rather show you we know the submarket than claim it.

Midtown is the tightest office market in Atlanta and the one where the tenants are most likely to know what they are talking about. Technology Square put Georgia Tech’s research and startup activity physically across the connector from the Peachtree corridor, and the buildings around it hold a mix of young companies, corporate innovation groups and university spinouts that is not replicated anywhere else in the Southeast.

The practical consequence for us is that the first conversation is different here. A Midtown client will ask what our patching cadence is, how we handle conditional access, and whether we will document the network in a form their own engineers can read. That is a reasonable set of questions and we would rather be asked them.

The other defining fact is the buildings. Midtown is high-rise, and nearly every small firm here is a tenant inside a tower that is managed by somebody else. Riser access, after-hours work windows, freight elevator reservations, certificates of insurance and an approved-vendor list are not paperwork around the job. In Midtown they set the schedule.

Rent here is at the top of the Atlanta market, which changes how firms think about space. Suites are smaller than the headcount would suggest, desks are shared, and a lot of the work happens from somewhere else. A network designed for the number of people on the lease is the wrong network.

What We Do for Midtown Businesses

Chosen for how this submarket actually operates.

Security That Survives a Vendor Review

Midtown firms sell to enterprises and universities, and those customers send questionnaires. Authentication, logging, access control and documentation built so the answers exist before the questions arrive. See cybersecurity.

Carrier Access, Suite by Suite

What a tower can deliver is a property of the riser and the building’s existing providers, not of the neighborhood. We check the actual suite before anyone signs. See internet and phone.

Cabling Inside a Managed Building

Certificates of insurance, approved vendor lists, after-hours windows and freight elevator bookings. We work to building rules rather than discovering them on day one. See structured cabling.

Managed IT for Small Technical Firms

Flat-rate support for teams who have opinions about their own stack and want a partner rather than a black box. Pricing is published.

Wireless for Hybrid Density

A twelve-desk suite with thirty people on the lease behaves nothing like a twelve-person office. We design for the days everyone turns up, not the average.

Moves Within the Corridor

Midtown firms move inside Midtown more often than they leave it. Cabling, circuits, cameras and phones sequenced against one date. See office relocation.

The Building Controls the Schedule. Plan Around That.

Almost everything that goes wrong in a tower job was decided weeks earlier.
Point 1

Start
With Property Management

Before we quote a cabling or camera job in a Midtown tower we find out who manages the building, what the approved vendor requirements are, what insurance limits they want named, and when work is allowed in occupied floors. That call costs us twenty minutes and it is the difference between a clean install and a crew standing in a lobby.

Point 2

Check
the Riser Before the Lease

Two suites on the same floor can have different carrier options depending on what was pulled into the building and who controls it. If you are looking at space, tell us the address and floor and we will find out what is actually available before you commit to a term.

Point 3

Design
for the Busy Day

Hybrid schedules concentrate. Tuesday through Thursday a Midtown suite can hold three times the people it holds on a Friday, in the same square footage, with everyone on video. Access point placement and uplink capacity get designed for that day.

Midtown Questions

What businesses here ask us first.
Can you work in our building if it has an approved vendor list?
Usually, yes. We carry commercial general liability and workers compensation and we are used to being added to a building’s vendor list, providing certificates of insurance with the correct parties named, and working to whatever hours the property manager sets. Tell us the building early and we will start that process while the rest of the job is being planned.
Our landlord provides internet. Is that good enough?
Sometimes it is, particularly for a small team doing ordinary office work. What you give up is control. Building-provided service usually means shared bandwidth, no say in the carrier, limited visibility when something degrades and a support path that runs through property management. If your business depends on that connection, we would rather look at what else can reach your suite and price the alternative so you can make the call with numbers in front of you.
We are a startup in Tech Square. Are we too small for you?
No. A good number of our clients started at five or six people. What matters more than headcount is whether you want the environment set up properly now rather than rebuilt later, because the cost of doing it twice lands right when you are busiest.
Our enterprise customer sent a security questionnaire. Can you help?
Yes, and it is a common reason Midtown firms call us. We work through what the questionnaire is actually asking, tell you honestly which answers are already true, fix the ones that are not, and produce the documentation the reviewer wants to see. It is usually less work than it looks and far less work than losing the deal.
You are based in Suwanee. How does that work for a Midtown client?
Planned work travels well, and most of what a Midtown firm needs is planned: cabling, cameras, circuits, moves and build-outs. Day to day support here is largely remote anyway. Where an in-town provider has a real advantage is an unplanned same-hour call-out, and we will say that plainly rather than pretend otherwise.
